All Saints 2015 and updated cemetary photos 2018

New Cemetery Photos 2018

One of my nephews passed away a year or so ago and his dad waited until the other day to have his Funerary Urn interred.
It would have been Ricky's 18th birthday.  A small group of us family members assembled in the beautiful Park Hill Cemetery to commemorate the occasion.  My brother read a lovely Eulogy that he had composed.  He quoted from The Book Of Lamentations, Chapter Three.

A father grieves knowing that
Our Heavenly Father is always faithful.

A lovely Urn.
A sweet little posie for rememberance.

Afterwards a bunch of us walked around looking at other family Gravesites. My sister brought along some  little posies (rosemary and roses) in the vintage family Picnic Basket.  So sweet.

At E.J. and Narrah's Gravesite.
Another view of my Great-Grandparents' Tombstone.

Oh, yeah,

another one of my infamous selfies.
This is filed in the Accidental Selfie Category
as I did not realize I had taken it until later.
Always gruesome to see how the camera sees you.

A sad and hot July day in this Year of Our Lord 2018.  But a beautiful cemetery in which we lay our loved ones to rest.  And an equally beautiful family, all of us, dead and living.

I love you ALL.

Embroidery on denim.  Based on a sketch from the mid 70's.  Finally finished it!  Originally sketched as a design for a block print, I still  need to get around to doing that.

The Misses Carruthers

This framed print of a Jennie Augusta Brownscombe painting entitled "For the Springtime of Life is the Fairest of All" has been in our family for ages and reminds me of happy childhood in byegone years.

Working on my story The Misses Carruthers.  Set in 1901.

My Old House

Photo from mid-70s, probably taken by JAE.  My ongoing project is to try to learn more about the house, when it was moved to current location, etc.  I'm also hoping to learn more about the original Donation Land Claim owner, J.P. Bersch.  History is so interesting!
